[12.01.2016 Tuesday]
At 10 o’clock breakfast is served, today we decide for omelet. We stay first at the pool so that I can still write my reports, I have quite a backlog. Until 15 o’clock we lie in the sun, today it is a bit cloudy, nevertheless, we jump into the water from time to time. In the room I pack some things together.
At 17 o’clock we sparzieren in the city, we want something typical Jamaican food on the last evening. The cache near the “Pelican Restaurant” is not to be found, but a patties store with a view of the cheesiest sunset of the whole vacation. So there are stuffed dumplings outside on a staircase and we look at the discolorations in the sky, after dinner Harry and I walk through “Old Hospital”, the first park for locals that I see in Jamaica. A sign at the entrance points out that the park could be created by income from tourists. Apparently one would like to represent that the large tourist rush in Montego Bay, also for the population advantages has.
Many locals relax here, some with picnic baskets and children playing soccer on the lawn, others sit in the pavilion and talk. A cruise ship can be seen in the distance.
After the sun has set we stroll back, buy Coke, 1l of “our” Overprooved Rum for Germany and water. I look at some souvenir stores, but buy nothing. 7pm we reach the hotel, and sit on the balcony until 10pm.
Unbelievable that today should be the last evening.
